- Solarig leads the Australian market after surpassing 2 GWdc and ranks third in EMEA, strengthening an international presence spanning 10 markets.
- The company is the only Spanish firm in the ‘Top 15’ and ranks fourth globally in Wood Mackenzie’s ranking of PV O&M service providers, with more than 16 GWdc of capacity under service at the end of 2025 and year-on-year growth of 11%.
Madrid, 7 September 2026.- Solarig consolidates its position as the leading provider of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services in Latin America after reaching 7.783 GWdc in the region at the end of 2025, according to the ‘Global solar PV O&M Service Provider Dynamics 2026’ report published by Wood Mackenzie, a global consultancy specialising in renewable energy. The company reaffirms its leadership in the region, which it has held for almost a decade, after adding 401 MWdc compared with the end of 2024, representing year-on-year growth of 5%.
Globally, Solarig ranks as the world’s 4th-largest PV O&M operator, thanks to the more than 16 GWdc it manages across 10 markets and its service model, which integrates operations, maintenance and monitoring to maximise the performance, availability and useful life of renewable assets. Solarig increased its portfolio of assets under management by 11% compared with the end of 2024, adding 1.646 GWdc of additional capacity, and is the only Spanish company to feature in the ‘Top 15’ leading companies in the sector.
Solarig leads the Australian market and strengthens its international presence
The report also highlights Solarig’s leadership in Australia, where it ranks first among PV O&M service providers. Solarig’s portfolio in Australia, one of the most important renewable energy markets in the Asia-Pacific region, increased in 2025 to more than 2 GWdc, placing the company at the top of the ranking in the country for the first time.
In EMEA, Solarig ranks third among PV O&M service providers, with 5.780 GWdc under service, driven particularly by its activity in Spain and Italy.
A multi-technology O&M model
This international positioning is underpinned by Solarig’s evolution towards a multi-technology O&M model, transferring more than two decades of experience in photovoltaic assets to other technologies that are essential to the energy transition. The company has expanded its capabilities to include the operation and maintenance of wind farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), biomethane plants and high-voltage infrastructure, offering an integrated service adapted to an increasingly diversified renewable portfolio.
In energy storage, Solarig continues to strengthen its capabilities through strategic agreements with leading technology manufacturers. Among these is the agreement with Tesla to provide certified maintenance services for its Megapack 2 XL BESS systems in Chile, where Solarig has a decade of experience and manages photovoltaic, wind, BESS and high-voltage assets. This diversification enables the company to support the transformation of the energy system and expand its O&M offering beyond photovoltaics, integrating complementary technologies for more efficient and reliable management of renewable assets.
A global market moving towards larger-scale operators
Solarig’s recognition comes at a time of significant transformation in the international PV O&M market. According to Wood Mackenzie, global capacity under service reached 348 GWdc in 2025, after adding 61 GWdc in a single year.
The 15 largest providers now jointly manage 199.739 GWdc, equivalent to 57% of the global market, reflecting the growing concentration of the sector and the expansion of companies capable of delivering services at scale across different geographies.
Solarig, sustainable energy solutions for society
Solarig develops, finances, builds and operates infrastructure for the energy transition. The company currently manages more than 20 GW of photovoltaic, wind, battery and high-voltage assets across 12 countries and leads the construction of large-scale solar plants. It drives global decarbonisation in the regions where it operates through renewable energy, energy storage and biomethane solutions, the latter through Biorig, its green gases division. Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, Solarig has a team of more than 1,500 professionals and a strong presence across Europe, Central and South America, Japan and Australia.
