We remember that progress in equality is not a privilege, but a universal right that still needs to be consolidated in many parts of the world. Sara García Alonso, firstly because of her work as a biotechnologist researching cancer, which motivates me in my day-to-day work in the renewable energy sector for a better future. And on the other hand, I see myself reflected in her curious spirit and her desire to explore new limits that have led her to be chosen as the first Spanish reserve astronaut in the European Space Agency.

A woman of reference for me is Marina Silva. She was born into a very humble family in Brazil, was a seringueira, learned to read and write at the age of 16, and has a trajectory of great courage and resilience, becoming Minister of the Environment in the country.

I want to talk about Ana Lía Rojas, founder and first woman president within the Association of Energy Women in Chile. One of the 100 women leaders for the years 2021-2024 and, currently, Executive Director of the Chilean Association of Renewable Energy and Storage.

My role model is Natsuko Toda, a Japanese film subtitle translator. She has been one of the pioneers in the competitive field of film subtitle translation, and her spirit of exploring what she loves and her passion have been a great inspiration. Solarig joins the ASTI foundation
As part of our commitment to SDG 5 on Gender Equality, we have joined Fundación ASTI by sponsoring the STEM Talent Girl programme.
STEM Talent Girl is ASTI Foundation’s flagship programme, designed to awaken STEM vocations in girls and young women from the earliest stages of their education. ASTI provides, hand in hand with partner companies, female references and key tools that accompany young girls during their academic and professional development.
Given the shortage of STEM talent, at Solarig we are convinced that collaborations like this are key to promoting female talent, breaking gender stereotypes, providing role models and fostering a new generation of female leaders in STEM disciplines. Diversity, one of our core values, drives innovation and is crucial to meet the challenges of the energy transition.

Y por otra parte, me veo reflejada en su espíritu curioso y en sus ganas de explorar nuevos límites que le han llevado a ser elegida como la primera astronauta de reserva española en la Agencia Espacial Europea.
