Under the name ‘Turboleta SAF’, we are developing a plant for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in Teruel with a production capacity of more than 75,000 tonnes per year, the equivalent of 33,000 flights between Zaragoza and London.
Turboleta SAF’ will have an estimated investment of 1.15 billion euros and will create more than 1,000 direct and indirect jobs during construction, and more than 180 direct and indirect jobs during operation. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2027.
The plant, which will be located in the ‘Platea’ industrial estate in Teruel and will cover an area of approximately 10 hectares, is expected to be operational before 2030. It will incorporate dedicated renewable assets with direct connection to the industrial plant: a solar photovoltaic plant, a wind farm and a battery storage system.
