Digital transformation

Understanding the main challenges and opportunities associated with the digitalisation of our business is essential in order to remain at the cutting edge of the sector, and maintain our position of leadership.

Apart from having implanted working methods that allow us to be more efficient, we have identified the main areas in which the use of technology allows us to improve our quality of service in any part of the world.

Monitoring

We have designed our own platform for monitoring the plants we manage in real time.

This tool allows us to view the read-outs of each of the devices in the plants in real time, and is integrated in our system for managing maintenance procedures and communicating with our clients.

Accessing this information from our Control Centre allows us to act quickly and effectively, and to guarantee the fastest possible response times when incidents occur.

Artificial Intelligence

By using artificial intelligence techniques applied to image recognition, we can be more efficient in identifying faults in equipment located in photovoltaic plants. One example of this is the use of drones to detect hot spots on solar panels, using thermal cameras.

Solarig has developed its own drone piloting procedure, together with a series of applications and algorithms for recognising images, which allow us to carry out this work with a high degree of precision.

Automated maintenance

Automating processes makes it possible to optimise them, achieving significant improvements in terms of costs, speed, and precision. This is essential when carrying out maintenance work of photovoltaic plants.

We work to maximise the automation of the main O&M works carried out by using new technologies in the solar panels cleaning, grass cutting, or removing snow activities.

Advanced solutions

Our digital transformation process not only affects the automation of our procedures, but also the incorporation of new technologies in all of the aspects that may contribute towards improving our management.

We carry out pilot tests with different suppliers and technical solutions, under different working conditions, in order to determine the most effective and efficient in each particular case.

One example of this is the use of systems to measure the amount of dirt on solar panels, or systems for determining the I-V curves on panels installed in plants.

Design and construction

All of the experience acquired in managing the plants we operate takes shape in the design and construction stages of our projects, with the aim of optimising the long-term performance of the PV plants.
