Environmental Responsibility

Solar energy is a source of life and the origin of the majority of energy forms on Earth.  Every year, solar radiation provides the Earth with one thousand times more energy than humanity consumes.

 

When collected correctly, solar radiation can be transformed into other energy forms such as electricity.

Solarig by the very nature of its activity, the development of photovoltaic solar energy, has an unavoidable commitment to the environment.  All its processes work toward promoting great environmental responsibility, preventing and minimizing possible environmental repercussions and favoring the development of environmentally friendly technologies, thus avoiding the emission of 26,878 tons of CO2 and other atmospheric pollutants such as SO2, NOx  and particles.

Increasing environmental awareness, striving to promote the rational use of natural resources, and minimizing the production of waste, dumping, and emissions in all its processes is a goal that the company has set for itself in order to reduce its environmental footprint.

As international recognition of its commitment to the environment and of its effort to attain greater sustainability, Solarig obtained the ISO 14001:2004 certification in 2009.
